June 15th - 17th 2010
Over the years we have a number of
adults who have commented, “why do
kids get to have all the fun - why don’t
you have camp for adults too.” We
have scheduled a four
day camp that will
include a variety of
“camp” activities, plus
some special programs
geared toward adults.
All of the activities will
be optional, so that you
can take advantage of
as much “camp life” as
you want, or just take
some time to read,
relax and nap in the
beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Here are just a few of the activities
from past camps.... daily book study,
bird watching, gourmet grilling, Bible
study, visit to the Callaway llama farm,
game night, “Old Time Sing Along”
singing, boating on Philpott Lake, worship, live mountain music and dancing,
campfi re, time to visit with our
summer staff and youth campers, Appalachian
basket making, afternoon
swim, photography
workshop, outdoor
games, a light hike
at Smart View, and
lots more.
All these activities
are in addition to
the opportunity to
take on the physical
and mental
challenges of the
high ropes course,
some team initiatives to test your problem-
solving and cooperative skills. This
time away at camp will be fun and relaxing.
We also promise to have better
than “camp food.” We encourage you
to invite your friends and neighbors!
This program is open to anyone who is
50 years old (“more or less”).
